Evaluation of the HUD Youth Homelessness Demonstration Program: Youth Perspectives on Homeless Housing and Services
In 2017, HUD awarded funds to 10 Continuums of Care (CoCs) in round one of the Youth Homelessness Demonstration Program (YHDP). The purpose of the YHDP was to enable the CoCs to develop and implement coordinated community approaches to preventing and ending youth homelessness. This report summarizes the perspectives of youth aged 18-24 with experiences of homelessness in the funded communities, one year after the initial provision of funding, gathered by way of interviews.
